She lost her husband in the line of duty…

Have you watched the short digital documentary about Rachel Lightfoot?  We urge you to take a couple of minutes and watch it here.

Rachel’s husband dreamed of a career in law enforcement and worked in the Polk County Sheriff’s Office under Governor Parson.  Her husband lost his life doing the job he dreamed about.  Not long after, Rachel discovered she was expecting a child.

Governor Parson was there for Rachel and her unborn child.  The Governor and First Lady supported Rachel and did all they could to make sure she knew her law enforcement family cared about her and supported her.

We know Governor Parson is proud of his work as a former sheriff, but this is a part of the story many do not know.  Governor Parson has walked in the footsteps of Missouri’s men and women in law enforcement.  As Governor he has worked to support our men and women in blue and ensure they have the tools to protect Missouri families and communities.

Rachel’s story tells a lot about Governor Parson.  He is a leader who deeply cares about people and someone who can be counted on during difficult times.

We encourage you to share Rachel’s story with your network and voters who may want to know more about the kind of leader and person that Governor Parson truly is.
