A Rubber Stamp for Obama’s Judiciary

Days after President Trump’s recent Supreme Court nomination, Senator Claire McCaskill still isn’t talking. Since she won’t make her intent to confirm or deny known, her judicial nominee voting record is the only indicator we have. Thankfully, her record speaks for itself.

While McCaskill opposed overly qualified conservative originalist nominee Neil Gorsuch, she happily voted for 100% of President Obama’s judicial nominees. That includes liberal activists Elena Kagan and Sonia Sotomayor.

Claire’s record reveals hypocrisy of the highest order. She claims to be a moderate that holds the values and wishes of Missourians above party affiliation – if this is true, where is her objectivity?

Claire’s rubber stamping of Obama’s liberal nominees doesn’t align with Missourians, but rather with the coastal elite who fund her campaign.

It’s easy to forget since she’s been in office for so long that, while she had no problem supporting Kagan and Sotomayor, two judicial activists that consistently legislate from the bench, McCaskill opposed Justice Gorsuch, a constitutionalist that has done nothing but fight for Missouri values since his confirmation.

Make no mistake – McCaskill was “very comfortable” with her party’s desire to “take a scalp” in their resistance of Justice Gorsuch, and Kavanaugh is now in the crosshairs. Given that the majority of Missourians support Judge Kavanaugh, it’s due time for Claire McCaskill to reject the resistance and adhere to the wishes of her constituents.

Don’t let history repeat itself – stand up to McCaskill’s hypocrisy and urge her to confirm Brett Kavanaugh.
