Eric Schmitt To Be Missouri’s Next U.S. Senator

Jefferson City, Mo. — Tuesday night Eric Schmitt comfortably coasted  to victory to be Missouri’s next U.S. Senator.

Eric Schmitt, currently Missouri’s Attorney General, defeated his Democrat opponent, and Anheuser-Busch heiress, Trudy Busch Valentine. Election results showed Schmitt won across the state with a significant margin over Busch Valentine. Schmitt will be replacing current U.S. Senator Roy Blunt, who is retiring after serving as senator since 2011.

“Eric Schmitt will be a fighter for Missouri in D.C. and he will make Missouri proud,” said Missouri Republican Party Chairman Nick Myers. “In all his public service roles, Eric has fought for Conservative values.  He will bring his wealth of experience in Missouri legislative and executive offices to the U.S. Senate. His most recent experience is as Missouri’s Attorney General, where he has fought for individual freedom, fought for the life of the unborn, and he has repeatedly stood up to the Biden administration. Eric Schmitt will now continue to fight for us in D.C.”
