FACT CHECK: Nicole Galloway’s Ad is Misleading

Earlier this week, Nicole Galloway released a glossy new ad detailing her work as the State Auditor. We decided to check on a few of those claims that seem just a bit too good to be true.

In her ad, Galloway says that she’s not a politician. That’s false.

• Nicole Galloway is a liberal insider who leveraged her connections with the lobbyists in her family for two lofty political appointments.
• Galloway took money from Planned Parenthood leaders and was given a “Rising Star” award by pro-abortion group Emily’s List.
• Galloway personally gave thousands to Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton and volunteered with Hillary for America.

Galloway also said that she’s disappointed by politicians who break our trust.

• Nicole Galloway was hauled into court for deleting text messages on a government-issued taxpayer-funded phone.
• Galloway has refused to comply with multiple Sunshine Law requests.
• Galloway lied and manipulated the numbers in her latest audit to make her office look good in the press, and then immediately blamed law enforcement when she was caught.

“Nicole Galloway is yet another liberal insider who leveraged her lobbyist connections for political appointments and sent thousands in personal cash to Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton,” said Chris Nuelle, spokesperson for the Missouri Republican Party.

Nuelle continued, “No expensive ad is going to change the fact that Galloway was hauled into court for deleting text messages and shamelessly blamed law enforcement when she was caught lying on her most recent audit. Missourians shouldn’t be fooled by this false advertising.”
