MOGOP Commends Governor Greitens on Statewide Prescription Drug Monitoring Program

Jefferson City – The Missouri Republican Party (MOGOP) released the following statement commending Governor Eric Greitens’ issuance of an executive order laying the groundwork for a statewide Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP). The launching of this program is part of Governor Greitens’ continued efforts to address the opioid crisis head-on.

“The devastation wreaked by the opioid crisis is widespread and undeniable,” said Austin Stukins, Executive Director of the Missouri Republican Party. “The people of Missouri are its most valuable resource, and Governor Greitens has shown unwavering commitment to protecting them by taking swift and decisive action to fight back against this ruthless enemy,” Stukins continued. “The creation of a PDMP in Missouri is a major step in the right direction, and I commend Governor Greitens for taking a good hard look at the problem and not shying away from bold responses.”
