Here She Goes Again …
Remember when we told you Claire McCaskill is trying to hoodwink rural Missourians into thinking she supports them? Evidently, she took it to the next level this week.
We already know that since McCaskill is facing reelection, she is playing up her “daughter of rural Missouri” act by visiting towns that have been totally off her radar for the last 6 years.
Now, it looks like McCaskill just took her apology tour in rural Missouri one step further, by admitting that Obamacare was a mistake. This is rich, coming from the person who was the deciding vote that locked this healthcare nightmare into place.
We don’t need to say much more about it, because the below email from the RNC pretty much says it all!

Subject: As MO Sen becomes toss up, McCaskill admits her mistake
Hey there –
This week, Cook Political Report moved Claire McCaskill’s race from “Lean D” to “Toss Up,” acknowledging what we have known for a long time – McCaskill is in big trouble in 2018.
Feeling the heat for her partisan record in Washington, McCaskill is taking her dog and pony show across Missouri, trying to convince voters at town hall meetings that she’s a moderate Democrat by admitting that passing Obamacare with only Democrat support was a mistake.
Listen here.
In case you forgot, McCaskill was an early and staunch supporter of Obamacare. Not at all surprising, since she voted with Obama 93% of the time and has voted with Senate Democrats 83% of the time.
“McCaskill is part of the reason Missourians have seen an average premium increase of 145%, and her dog and pony show tour across rural Missouri isn’t enough to convince voters she’s looking out for them. It’s convenient that McCaskill only backtracks her staunch support of Obamacare when she finally realizes that her political career is in jeopardy. Voters deserve to know – if passing Obamacare with only Democrat support was a mistake, will she admit that Obamacare as a whole was mistake to push on the hardworking people of Missouri?” – RNC Spokesperson Christiana Purves
