It’s Time Missouri Democrats Do the Right Thing

Following Senator Al Franken’s announcement that he will resign his seat in the United States Senate the Missouri Republican Party Released the following statement:

Yesterday, over a month after the first disturbing allegation of sexual misconduct against Senator Franken, Claire McCaskill finally called for his resignation after yet another woman came forward to tell her story. However, the silence from the Missouri Democratic Party on what they will do with the campaign cash Al Franken raised for them has been deafening.

“It’s unacceptable for Claire McCaskill and the Missouri Democrats to host Al Franken in our state and raise money for their Party using his name, then refuse to answer if they will be keeping the cash he raised” said Sam Cooper, Executive Director of the Missouri Republican Party. “This is a simple question that Missourians deserve an answer to. It’s well past time for the Missouri Democrats to do the right thing.”
