JEFFERSON CITY – With her history of being soft on crime, it’s no surprise Jill Schupp will not denounce the left-wing’s “defund the police” movement.  Instead of standing with law enforcement and for law and order, Jill Schupp is sticking with the radical left’s script of defunding law enforcement.

“By refusing to denounce the ‘defund the police’ movement, Jill Schupp is choosing to stick to the script of the radical left while sticking it to the men and women in blue who risk their lives every day to protect and serve our neighborhoods and communities,” said Jean Evans, Executive Director of the Missouri Republican Party.

A review of Jill Schupp’s votes shows her soft-on-crime record where she repeatedly sides with violent criminals over crime victims.

“Jill Schupp is backed by radical groups who actively push defunding the police, disarming the police and abolishing the police, which would result in chaos throughout our streets and communities,” Evans said.  “Like left-wing Congressional candidate Cori Bush, who tells her supporters she supports this radical effort, Jill Schupp refuses to denounce the ‘defund the police’ movement because she doesn’t want to alienate or offend her left-wing backers.  A vote for Jill Schupp is a vote for defunding law enforcement.”
