ICYMI: McCaskill Flip-Flops on Hot Topics During Town Halls

Senator Claire McCaskill was busy talking out of both sides of her mouth again this week, flip-flopping on so many hot topics that it was tough to keep up.  Here’s a quick recap.

Last week, the U.S. House of Representatives passed two extremely important measures, the “No Sanctuary for Criminals Act” and “Kate’s Law,” which are aimed at saving lives by deterring illegal reentry and keeping criminals off our streets. You would think McCaskill, who claims to be a ‘moderate’, would have voted for this common-sense legislation. But as McCaskill has proven time and again, she is no different than liberal extremists like Elizabeth Warren, who she joined in voting against these measures in 2016.

Now, after facing several heated questions on the topic during her town halls this week, McCaskill seems to have changed her tune, saying she will  “probably” vote for Kate’s Law the next time around. Missourians won’t hold their breath waiting for her to stay true to her word.

But this isn’t the only issue McCaskill has been inconsistent on. During several of these town halls, McCaskill feigned a willingness to work with the Trump Administration by commending its efforts to repeal the Waters of the United States rule, which would have devastated rural Missouri. This is an interesting, new position for Claire, who voted to keep the rule in place on multiple occasions.

If nothing else, one thing is abundantly clear—McCaskill is consistently inconsistent, and can’t be trusted by Missouri’s voters.
