Despite Obamacare Failures in Missouri, McCaskill Obstructs Attempts to Fix It

Today, the U.S. Senate took a pivotal step in dismantling the broken Obamacare system by voting to begin debate on Republican efforts to fix it. The Missouri Republican Party released the following statement in response to Senator Claire McCaskill’s obstruction of these efforts, despite major Obamacare failures in Missouri.

“McCaskill was the deciding vote on Obamacare, and now that it is a proven failure, she refuses to participate in the conversation that is crucial to fixing it,” said Austin Stukins, Executive Director of the Missouri Republican Party.  “Premiums are up 145% in Missouri—there is no doubt people are hurting, but McCaskill continues to ignore that and choose obstruction over solutions,” Stukins continued. “This just reaffirms that she will always choose petty politics over the people of Missouri.”
