Missouri GOP Calls on Claire McCaskill to Support Judge Kavanaugh for Supreme Court

JEFFERSON CITY, MO — After her history of obstructing President Trump’s nominees, including Justice Neil Gorsuch, The Missouri Republican Party is calling on Claire McCaskill to do the right thing and support Judge Brett Kavanaugh for Supreme Court Justice.

“The Missouri Republican Party is calling on Claire McCaskill to set aside partisan politics, actually listen to what Missourians want, and voice her support and intent to confirm Judge Brett Kavanaugh for the position of Supreme Court Justice,” said Chris Nuelle, a spokesperson for the Missouri Republican Party.

Nuelle continued, “President Trump’s nominee, Yale educated Judge Brett Kavanaugh has a bevy of experience that would greatly benefit the court, including clerking for Justice Kennedy, serving on the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals, aiding President Bush for several years, and more. Judge Kavanaugh would absolutely be an asset as a Supreme Court Justice. Despite her prejudging comments that she’s ‘not optimistic’ about President Trump’s nominee, it’s time for Claire McCaskill to abandon her obstructionist tendencies, break from her friends in the Resistance, and finally vote with the interests of Missourians. Claire likes to say she’s a ‘true moderate,’ now it’s time for her to prove it.”
