Missouri Jumps 9 Spots on “Best States for Business” List
Jefferson City — As a result of aggressive pro-growth reforms, Missouri has jumped 9 spots in the overall rankings on CNBC’s annual “Best States for Business” list.
CNBC released the list yesterday, revealing that Missouri, which was 31st on the list in 2016, is now ranked 22nd. Missouri also improved dramatically in the “economy” category, rising from 34th in 2016 all the way to 18th in 2017. Additionally, Missouri saw improvements in the “workforce” and “infrastructure” categories, another clear sign that Missouri’s business climate is rapidly improving.
“These rankings are proof that Governor Greitens’ unwavering commitment to a pro-growth agenda is paying off,” said Austin Stukins, Executive Director of the Missouri Republican Party. “We will see even more growth as Governor Greitens continues to fight government overreach and slash regulations that alienate businesses and harm workers,” Stukins continued. “This is a clear indication that we are well on our way to a stronger, more prosperous Missouri.”
