ICYMI: Missouri Unemployment Rate lowest since 2000.
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — Executive Director Sam Cooper released this statement following Governor Greitens’ announcement last week that 250 new jobs and millions in investments by Nucor Steel are coming to Sedalia, Missouri.
The Department of Economic Development also released that the unemployment rate in Missouri was the lowest in 17 years:
“Thanks to strong, conservative leadership by Governor Greitens and the Republican-led Missouri legislature, jobs are coming back to Missouri,” said Sam Cooper, Executive Director of the Missouri Republican Party. “This goes to show what can happen when you elect leaders like Governor Greitens who understand that to create jobs, you have to get obstacles out of the way, cut regulations and allow business to grow. Governor Greitens is fulfilling one of his core promises to Missourians and bringing good, high paying jobs back to our state.”
