MOGOP Statement on Biden’s $300 Billion Punishment on Hard Working Americans

Jefferson City, Mo. — Today President Biden announced a federal plan to cancel $10,000 in student debt per person. The plan would cost American taxpayers $300 billion. Missouri Republican Party Chairman, Nick Myers released the following statement regarding the news:

“At a time where normal Americans are already struggling due to President Joe Biden’s failed economy, the president has now decided to use $300 billion of hard working Americans’ tax dollars to pay the debts of less than 37 percent of our population. Trudy Bush Valentine, and Cori Bush, along with their fellow Democrats support this socialist policy which unfairly punishes Americans who saved for college, paid off their debt, or made a different career choice, and voters see right through this short-sighted, poorly veiled vote-buy.”
