MOGOP Statement on Governor Mike Parson’s Appointment of State Representative Scott Fitzpatrick

JEFFERSON CITY, MO – Following Governor Mike Parson’s decision to appoint State Representative Scott Fitzpatrick to be Missouri’s 47th State Treasurer, MOGOP released the following statement:

“Governor Parson made a great choice appointing Scott Fitzpatrick to serve as Missouri’s 47th State Treasurer,” said Ray Bozarth, MOGOP Executive Director.

Bozarth continued, “Filling Eric Schmitt’s shoes was no small task, but Governor Mike Parson’s appointment of Scott Fitzpatrick is a home run. Scott is a successful small business owner who knows how to manage a large staff and make payroll, which are invaluable traits in a state treasurer. Not only that, he was a very effective budget chair in the House, making him uniquely prepared to serve as Missouri’s chief financial officer. We’re excited to see Scott build on Eric Schmitt’s great work and we look forward to working with him in the future.”

Scott Fitzpatrick was born September 28th, 1987, and is from Shell Knob, Missouri. He and his wife Mallary have two sons, Luke and Carson. Fitzpatrick is the C.E.O. of MariCorp U.S.
