MOGOP Statement on the Treasurer’s Race

JEFFERSON CITY—John Hancock, Chairman of the Missouri Republican Party, released the following statement regarding the State Treasurer’s race:

“Missouri Republicans will be united behind our Republican ticket this November. The announcement by State Senator Dan Brown to withdraw his name as a candidate for Treasurer and endorse Senator Eric Schmitt is another signal of unity for our Party. We commend Senator Brown for his public service and his commitment to our Party’s success in November.

“We urge Missouri Republicans to support Senator Eric Schmitt, who will be our Republican nominee for State Treasurer. Senator Schmitt has championed conservative ideas in the state senate and will bring his strong work ethic and conservative values to the State Treasurer’s office.”
