MOGOP Statements on the Passing of State Representative Rebecca Roeber

Today, we are saddened to learn that State Representative Rebecca Roeber passed away following a car accident that occurred earlier this year. Kay Hoflander, the Missouri Republican Party Chair, released the following statement after learning about Representative Roeber’s passing:

“Representative Roeber was a shining light in the Missouri Republican Party. We will greatly miss her servant-minded heart. Her leadership and spirit have left a legacy for other members within the Party to follow.”

The Missouri Republican Party Executive Director, Jean Evans, also released the following statement:

“It was an honor to serve alongside Representative Roeber during my tenure as State Representative. Few people are as committed to their values as Representative Roeber. Despite unexpected circumstances, she was ready to return to work in Jefferson City. Her example has inspired other legislators to persevere no matter the costs.”

Representative Roeber was first elected to represent Missouri House District 34 in 2014. The district is located within Jackson County. Prior to serving as State Representative, she was an educator for 17 years. She is survived by her husband, two children, and one grandchild.
