Nicole Galloway Campaign Insults Missourians with ‘Illiterate Hillbilly’ Comment

Jefferson City – Nicole Galloway’s campaign and advisors have a new name for Missourians who disagree with Galloway’s liberal policies: “illiterate hillbillies.’  Unable to defend those liberal policies, Galloway directed or allowed her campaign and advisors to use the ‘illiterate hillbilly’ insult, as one of her advisors did this week in comments about Governor Parson.

“There is no limit to Nicole Galloway’s disdain for Missourians who do not conform to her liberal views,” said Missouri Republican Party Executive Director Jean Evans.  “To Nicole Galloway, Missourians who do not share her left-wing views about defunding the police, raising taxes, supporting partial-birth abortion and massively expanding state government are ‘illiterate hillbillies.’”

Nicole Galloway has declined to condemn the ‘illiterate hillbilly’ comment, leaving Missourians to question whether she directed or allowed her campaign and advisors to use the insult when they are losing arguments in support of her left-wing policies or challenged by Missourians who do not share her liberal viewpoints.
