JEFFERSON CITY – Nicole Galloway’s left-wing “Defund the Police” supporters took to the streets of St. Louis last night and painted Galloway’s campaign slogan for all to see.
Last night, the group painted a large “defund the police” sign in the middle of Euclid and Maryland in St. Louis’ Central West End. With Nicole Galloway refusing to denounce “Defund the Police,” the proposal has become a slogan for her campaign and a rallying cry for her left-wing supporters.
“Nicole Galloway is nowhere to be found, but her campaign slogan ‘Defund the Police,’ has been painted in giant letters on a public street in St. Louis,” said Jean Evans, executive director of the Missouri Republican Party. “Galloway has refused to denounce the ‘Defund the Police’ movement and her left-wing supporters have been emboldened by her position in support of defunding law enforcement. Galloway even refused to denounce the actions of her Missouri Democrat Party chairman who supported and celebrated violence against police officers by posting an image of a burned-out police vehicle as the banner for his social media. Nicole Galloway’s embrace of the ‘Defund the Police’ movement is deeply troubling and her plan to defund law enforcement would only lead to more lawlessness and destruction in our streets and communities.”
