Nicole Galloway Using Taxpayer Dollars in Attempt to Cover Up Her Ethics Abuses

JEFFERSON CITY – In response to yet another investigation into Nicole Galloway’s abuse of her official office for political purposes, Galloway is using her office to cover it up.  It is really this simple: If Nicole Galloway did not abuse her taxpayer funded office as she claims then she needs to release the documents being sought by investigators.  Galloway’s latest attempt to cover up the abuse of her office is part of a long-running pattern of abuse and misuse of taxpayer resources.

“Nicole Galloway has been caught using her official office as a subsidiary of her campaign office,” said Jean Evans, Executive Director of the Missouri Republican Party.  “Instead of complying with a records request, Galloway has decided to again abuse taxpayers by using her official office to try and cover up her abuses.  If Galloway has nothing to hide as she claims, why won’t she release the documents investigators are seeking?”

Nicole Galloway is under investigation for campaign finance violations by the Missouri Secretary of State.  Instead of complying with the investigation, Galloway is attempting to stop the investigation by using Missouri taxpayer dollars in an attempt to cover up her ethics abuses.

Nicole Galloway is facing multiple investigations into her abuse and misuse of Missouri tax dollars.  The independent State Board of Accountancy is investigating her office for abusing the audit process.  This week the non-partisan ethics watchdog the Foundation for Accountability and Civic Trust (FACT) filed a complaint against Galloway for abusing her taxpayer funded office.
