We’ve Seen This Before

Last night, President Trump fulfilled his promise and nominated Judge Brett Kavanaugh to be a Supreme Court Justice. Judge Kavanaugh is a Yale graduate, has clerked for Justice Kennedy, served on the D.C. Circuit Court, and aided President George W. Bush for years. It’s evidently clear that Judge Kavanaugh is more than qualified, and we immediately called on Claire McCaskill to express her intent to confirm Judge Kavanaugh. She didn’t.

Instead, Claire opted to give a vague answer, and wouldn’t give Missourians any idea about her intentions, nor did she acknowledge any of Judge Kavanaugh’s accomplishments.

We wish we could say we’re surprised by Claire’s refusal to give Missourians any answers about whether or not she’ll vote against Judge Kavanaugh, but unfortunately, we’ve seen this before.

When the President nominated Justice Gorsuch for the Supreme Court, Claire again gave a vague answer about the nomination. Despite Justice Gorsuch being a highly qualified and respected jurist, Claire pretended to stew over his background while she was actually triangulating her vote with the far left Resistance and her donors.

When it came time for the vote, Claire said she wasn’t going to talk about it, and then voted AGAINST Justice Neil Gorsuch.

Claire did the same thing with CIA Director Gina Haspel, who had decades of experience with the CIA and is widely respected in the intelligence community. When it came time to vote, Claire suddenly didn’t want to talk about it.

Despite a poll that shows a majority of Missourians want Judge Kavanaugh on the Supreme Court, Claire still refuses to announce her intent to confirm Kavanaugh. If history is an indication, Claire’s obstruction will continue.

But there’s one thing we know for certain: Missourians won’t be getting any answers out of Claire McCaskill anytime soon.
