The Annual Free Watermelon Feed, co-hosted by the Republican Women of Newton County and the Newton County Republican Central Committee, will be held Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at 6:30 P.M. at Big Spring Park, 308 West Spring St., Neosho, MO 64850. Depending on the weather, we expect 200-300 attendees.
Contested county office candidates will speak in ballot order. US Senate, MO St. Auditor, and 7th Congressional Dist. candidates are invited to attend and speak. All candidates are subject to a 3 minute time limit. Judge Greg Stremel will serve as the time keeper.
The Free Watermelon Feed is open to all Republicans. Ice cold watermelon and bottled water, free of charge . All you need to bring is your lawn chairs, appetite, and friends & neighbors.
A straw quiz will be available to those in attendance. The quiz will not include any Republican candidates. The straw quiz will serve as entry into a drawing for prizes. The drawing will take place at the conclusion of the Free Watermelon Feed.
In case of rain, the Free Watermelon Feed will be moved to the Lampo Building 500 East Spring Neosho, MO 64850 at 6:30 P.M.
