Fellow Republicans,
The Annual Free Watermelon Feed, co-hosted by the Republican Women of Newton County and the Newton County Republican Central Committee, will be held, Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at 6:30 P.M. at Big Spring Park, 308 West Spring St., Neosho, MO 64850. Historically, we have attendance of 200-300 and attract press coverage.
The program will feature state wide candidate 3 minute speeches in alphabetical order (excepting the incumbent office holders who will speak last), all subject to time-keeper Circuit Judge Greg Stremel.
The Free Watermelon Feed is open to all Republicans. Ice cold watermelon and bottled water will be provided—free of charge. All you need to bring is your lawn chairs, appetite, and friends & neighbors.
A straw quiz will be available to those in attendance. The straw quiz will serve as an entry into a drawing for prizes. Featured prize includes the book “Manhood: The Masculine Virtues America Needs” by U.S. Senator Josh Hawley The drawing will take place at the conclusion of the Free Watermelon Feed.
